Some people peak in high school. Being a late bloomer just means your best stuff hasn’t been on display yet.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

School is a small sample of the world, and it rewards a narrow set of things that happen to be visible at fifteen. Some people are perfectly matched to that window and spend decades afterwards describing it. Arriving later is not a delay in your worth. It is a different schedule, and the parts of you nobody has tested yet are still coming.

Pick one thing you are genuinely curious about and give it a year rather than a week. Measure yourself against what you could do last spring instead of against whoever is loudest in the hallway. Keep going after the room stops noticing.
