Belief is personal; reality is under no obligation to participate.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
What you believe belongs to you and has no hold over what is the case. This applies to hopes and to fears equally, which is worth remembering in both directions: your conviction that something terrible is happening carries no more weight than your conviction that it will all be fine. The world proceeds according to its own arrangements.
Where something is checkable, check it rather than settling into a belief about it. And where it is not, hold your position loosely and act in a way that would not be ruinous if you turned out to be wrong. That is the whole of what is available.
Where has wanting something to be true not made it so?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
