A bad call from the ref happens. Arguing it for three plays costs you three plays.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
A bad call costs you one play, and arguing costs however many you spend arguing. The second bill is larger and it is the one you choose. Attention is in short supply during a game, and a grievance is very good at holding on to it, which makes the minutes after an injustice the most dangerous.
Give yourself a fixed and very short release: one sentence, one look, then back to position. Decide what that looks like before the game, so you are not inventing it while angry. If you are still on it two plays later, that is the moment to put your eyes on the next ball deliberately.
What unfairness are you still arguing about too long?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
