A sprained ankle and a broken wrist heal at different speeds. Hard seasons do too. Stop comparing timelines.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Different injuries take different lengths of time, and nobody finds that confusing until it applies to a hard year. Then the comparisons start: somebody else was fine after a month, so why are you not. What the comparison leaves out is everything about the two situations that was never the same, which is most of it.
Work out roughly what your own thing should take, from someone who knows, and judge yourself against that. When you feel a comparison forming, finish the thought by listing what was different. If somebody else’s quick recovery is being held up to you, you can say it was not the same injury.
