Intellectual strength is measured partly by how gracefully certainty can be revised.

CREATIVITY
Anyone can revise under overwhelming pressure. Doing it early, willingly, and without drama is much rarer, and it is the better indicator of how well someone actually thinks. Changing your mind gracefully means saying plainly that you were wrong, without a long defense of why the old view was reasonable, and then moving on.
Practice on something small this week. Say you have changed your mind, state what changed it, and stop. No explanation of how understandable your earlier position was. The brevity is the difficult part, and it is what makes the revision look like strength rather than a retreat.
How do you behave when you turn out to be wrong?
