You don’t have to be a natural leader. Most good leaders learned it one awkward conversation at a time.

LEADERSHIP
What looks like a natural gift is usually a stack of conversations that went badly first. The person who can tell a teammate they are not pulling their weight got good at it by doing it clumsily several times and surviving. Nobody is born able to say hard things kindly. The skill gets built in exactly the moments you most want to skip.
Find a small version this week. Ask your group to actually decide something instead of drifting, or tell one person plainly what you need from them and let it be a little awkward. That is the entire training.
Which awkward conversation would make you better at leading people?
