Growth often looks like loss to the people who preferred your limitations.

People who benefited from your limits will often experience your growth as something being taken from them, because in a practical sense it is. The availability, the compliance, the willingness to be the one who absorbs things, all of that reduces when you change. Their sense of loss can be genuine and it is not a reliable measure of whether you are doing something wrong. It mostly reports on what they were relying on.
When you are told you have changed, ask what specifically has changed and whether you think it is for the better. Take real feedback seriously and let the rest be. Not every objection to your growth is about your growth being bad.
