Your teacher can’t help with a problem you never mentioned.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
From the front of a room, confusion and quiet look identical. A teacher works from what they can see, which is your handed-in work and whether you asked anything, so a student who is lost in silence reads as a student who is fine. Help is usually there and almost never arrives for a problem nobody has named.
Take the subject you are furthest behind in and send five sentences this week, or stay back for two minutes after the bell. Say what you do not understand as specifically as you can manage. Asking once, early, changes how the rest of the term goes.
Which struggle have you kept from the person who could help?
