Ordering for yourself, calling the dentist, asking at the counter: adulthood is a hundred small brave things nobody mentions.

RESILIENCE
We are told adulthood is made of big decisions, and then it turns out to be a long series of small transactions with strangers. Ordering without checking with anyone, phoning to make an appointment, asking the person behind the counter a question you suspect is stupid. Each one is slightly uncomfortable the first time and routine by the fourth, and nobody mentions them because they look too small to mention.
Take one of these over this week from whoever currently does it for you. Make the call yourself, even if somebody else is standing right there.
Which everyday task do you still ask someone else to do?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
