An animator might spend a whole week on a few seconds of screen time. Some things are just worth the slow road.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Some quality cannot be reached quickly, however skilled you are, because the work is made of many small corrections that each take their own time. Those few seconds are where an audience decides whether the thing is alive, which makes the ratio sensible rather than wasteful. The hard part is accepting a week with almost nothing visible to show for it.

Choose one part of your project that deserves disproportionate effort and let the rest be adequate. Protect that time instead of spreading it thin. Judge the week by whether that part improved, not by how much ground you covered.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What of yours is worth an absurd amount of patience?
