Being chosen by God doesn’t depend on being picked first in gym.

Getting picked last teaches a lesson it has no business teaching, that your value is a ranking other people hold. Gym class, auditions, group projects all sort people, and none of them measures what you are worth. Being wanted and being selected are different, and the second is far noisier. Captains picking teams know nothing about you.

If you are the one left standing until last, that is about their system. Find the place where you are already wanted and spend your time there. And when you are the one picking, go and get whoever usually waits.
