A lot of fights with your parents fade once you stop sharing a bathroom.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

A lot of what feels like a clash of character is actually a clash of bathroom timing. Shared space produces friction all by itself: the noise, the queue, the stuff left out. Pull the proximity out and a surprising share of the argument simply has nothing to run on. The relationship was often fine; the corridor was the problem.

Try sorting one of those fights as logistics rather than as a grievance. Agree a time, a shelf, a rota, a door closed by eleven. Fix the mechanics and see how many of the arguments were never really about you.
