Deleting an app for a month is a cheap experiment in who you are without it.
CREATIVITY
CREATIVITY
The experiment is cheap, reversible and surprisingly informative. A month without one app tells you what it was doing for you, which is usually not what you assumed: sometimes it was boredom cover, sometimes it was the only way you heard from certain people. You cannot work that out by reasoning about it. You have to take it out and see what moves.
So delete one for four weeks, not forever, and write down two lines at the end. What did I do instead, and what did I actually miss. Then decide whether it comes back, and on what terms.
Which app would you learn the most about yourself by deleting?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
