Skill looks like personality from the outside. The coworker who flies through a queue was once standing there holding a bunch of bananas, blank, asking somebody for the number. What you are watching is repetition rather than talent, and it took them weeks of looking slow.

Give yourself the runway you would give anyone else. Write down the three things you keep having to ask about and carry the list in your pocket. In a month you will not need it, and somebody newer will be asking you.
