A failed subject is recoverable and comparatively cheap. What cannot be recovered are the months of knowing it was going badly and arranging your life around not looking at it, because that time also cost you the other subjects, your sleep and the chance to ask for help while it was still small. The pretending is the expensive part.

Say the true sentence to one person this week about whatever you are avoiding looking at. A teacher, a parent, a friend who will not panic. Naming it early is what buys you options, and the options shrink the longer it stays private.
