If the group only works when you are in the room, it is not a team yet. It is an audience.

LEADERSHIP
A room that functions only in your presence has been performing for you rather than working with you. People are waiting for direction, holding decisions, keeping their ideas until you arrive, and it feels like respect while really being dependence. Nothing has been built that could survive a week of you being busy.
Leave on purpose. Hand one decision to somebody who is allowed to make it badly, and do not correct it unless it truly matters. Then see what the group does when you are not watching, which is the only real test.
Does your group still function on a day you are absent?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
