Lifeguards don’t wait for someone to wave for help. Watching closely before trouble starts is the job.

Waiting for a clear signal means you only ever respond to things that have already gone wrong. Watching closely before anything happens is the unglamorous half of the job and the half that actually prevents something, which is why it looks like doing nothing from a distance. Trouble almost never waves.
Spend part of this week simply paying attention to your group with nothing to fix. Look at who is quieter than usual, who is behind, who is wearing out. Then act on one thing before it becomes a problem anybody else can see.
What are you watching for before anybody asks for help?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
