Interruptions are not deviations from the route, they are most of it. Other people’s stops get added to your route constantly, a sibling needing something, a shift change, a friend in trouble on the night you had plans, and the irritation comes from treating your original plan as the real version of the day. The detours are where most of the company comes from.
When something interrupts you this week, give it ten honest minutes before resenting it. Protect what genuinely cannot move and let the rest on. Notice which interruptions turn out to have been the point.
