Your brain loves finding streaks, even in pure luck. Two bad days is not a curse.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Pattern-finding runs whether or not there is a pattern. Two of anything in a row feels like a trend, because a mind built to spot predators in grass would rather see a shape that is not there than miss one that is. Luck clumps on its own, with no meaning attached and no intention behind it.

When the week starts to feel cursed, count the actual days instead of describing them. Two rough ones out of six is ordinary; it only looks like a verdict because the good days did not get counted. Write the date down and see if the streak survives contact with a calendar.
