Generosity is not measured only in money.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Money is the easiest unit to count and the least of what people need. Time, skill, patience, a name mentioned in the right room, someone willing to sit through a bad afternoon. Plenty of the most consequential generosity involves no money at all and much more of the giver.
Inventory what you have besides money. A skill, a contact, a spare hour, a car. Then think of someone for whom one of those would matter. That match is usually more valuable than an equivalent sum would have been.
What could you give this week that costs no money?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
