The aisle you drift to in a bookstore when nobody’s with you says more about you than your bio does.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Where you drift when nobody is choosing alongside you is the cleanest sample you will get. A bio is written for readers and an aisle is not; your feet go where the curiosity already is, towards space or crime or history or how things are built. That pull existed before you had any way to describe it, and it is steadier than the taste you talk about.
Go alone this week, to a bookshop or a library, with no title in mind. Notice which section you end up in and how long you stay. Then follow it on purpose with one book, one documentary, one class.
Which shelf do you end up at when shopping alone?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
