You’re allowed to have different friends for different parts of you. Nobody has to be everything.

GRATITUDE
No single person can meet every part of a whole human being, and asking one to is how good friendships get strained. The person you play with, the person you talk to at two in the morning, the person who makes you laugh until it hurts: these can be three different people without any of them being a lesser friend. Spreading the weight is not disloyalty. It is what keeps each friendship doing the thing it is good at.
Name the parts of you that have nowhere to go right now. Then find one place where that part gets some air, and stop asking your closest friend to cover everything.
Which side of you does only one person really see?
