Both kinds look identical while things are going well, because when you have time, money and good news to hand around, nobody has to choose. A hard stretch sorts them without your help. Some people get closer when you have less to offer, and some get busy. That is painful information, and it is still information you are better off having.

If you are in one of those weeks, watch quietly and do not stage a test. Just notice who turns up when there is nothing in it for them. Later, when you are back on your feet, remember who that was and be that for somebody else.
