The best arrangement includes the person’s comfort with it, not only its efficiency.

LEADERSHIP
A plan can be optimal on paper and unbearable to live inside. Rotas, care schedules, seating, travel arrangements all get built for the fewest hours and the shortest distance, because those things are easy to measure, while how it feels to the person at the center is not. If they dread it, the efficiency is temporary; people quietly work around arrangements that do not suit them. Comfort is not a luxury added after the logistics.
When you next design something for another person, show them the plan before it is fixed and ask what part they would dislike. Change that part even if it costs some neatness.
Which arrangement of yours has never been checked with the person inside it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
