The newcomer needs practical information before advice about feeling at home.

LEADERSHIP
Reassurance offered too early lands as noise. Someone who does not yet know where anything is, how the process works, or who to ask cannot use encouragement about belonging, because their problem is not an emotional one yet. Give them the map first, and the feeling tends to follow once the day stops being confusing.
Tell a new person the concrete things: where, when, who, how, and what usually happens. Save the warm speech about fitting in for later, or skip it. Competence at ordinary tasks is what makes a place begin to feel like yours.
What practical thing could you tell the newest person tomorrow?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
