An old interest can return in a smaller form that fits your present life.

The version of an interest you remember may have belonged to a life with more room in it. That does not mean the interest is gone, only that its old size no longer fits. A person who once played for hours can still play for twenty minutes. The pleasure was never in the volume.

Pick one thing you used to love and ask what the smallest honest version of it looks like now. One song rather than a set, or a short walk with the camera rather than a whole day. Let that be enough, and see whether it grows on its own or stays happily small.
