The best ending leaves the result useful and the people involved willing to work together again.

Endings get graded on what was produced, which misses half of what was made. A finish leaves behind two things: the work itself, and whatever people now believe about doing this with you again. Either can be spent to buy the other, and the trade is easy to make without noticing, usually in the last hurried week when the temptation is to push rather than ask.
As something wraps up this week, spend a little of your remaining energy on the handover and the thanks. Ask each person what would make a repeat easier. Leave the result in a state a stranger could use.
Which past collaborator would gladly work with you again?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
