A life built accidentally is still built from decisions.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Drifting is not the absence of choosing; it is choosing without noticing. The apartment, the routine, the circle of friends, the shape of your days all arrived through decisions, most of them small and made without much attention. Calling the result an accident lets you disown it, which also means you cannot change it.

Try claiming it instead. Look at one part of your life you would not have designed and trace it back to the choices that assembled it. You will usually find two or three small ones doing most of the work. Those are also the ones you can revisit, which is what claiming it gets you.
