A new agreement is stronger when both people are free to say it is not working yet.

An arrangement that cannot be questioned turns into a loyalty test, and people stop reporting problems because reporting sounds like backing out. Then the flaw stays hidden until it is large. Saying something is not working yet is not the same as saying it has failed. It is the sentence that lets a good arrangement get fixed while it is still young.

When you set something up with another person this week, agree on a time to look at it again. Two weeks is usually enough. Naming that date gives you both a way to speak up without it sounding like a retreat.
