Fear becomes less persuasive once you have contradicted it enough times.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Fear loses credibility the way any unreliable forecaster does: through a record. Each time you act against it and the disaster fails to appear, its authority drops slightly, and after enough repetitions the same warning simply carries less weight. The change comes from evidence rather than insight.

Start keeping a rough tally of predictions fear made and what actually happened. It does not have to be formal. What matters is that you look back at it when the next warning arrives. Arguing with fear rarely works; showing it its own track record works better and takes far less energy.
