Growing up means you stop waiting for someone else to fix it.

For a long time there was always an adult who would eventually handle the thing. At some point the waiting stops working, and you notice the problem is still there because nobody is coming to take it. That shift is unglamorous and slightly lonely at first. It also turns out to be where most of your freedom comes from.

Find the small thing you have been hoping somebody notices. Make the call, send the email, book the appointment yourself this week. You can still ask for help, but ask as the person handling it rather than the person waiting.
