Every time you move, you get to decide which habits make it into the boxes.

Moving strips away the cues that kept your routines running, and for a short window nothing is automatic. That gap is unusual, because normally habits survive on the strength of the room rather than any decision you make. A new place means new triggers, and you get some say in what they attach to. The window closes fast once the new normal sets.
If a move is coming, write two short lists: what you want to keep and what you want to leave behind. Set up the new space so the keepers are easy and the others take effort. If you are not moving, rearrange one room instead.
If you packed tomorrow, which habit would you leave behind?
