Growth is when your goals start costing you some fun and you’re okay with the trade.

CREATIVITY
Sooner or later wanting something has to convert into giving something up, and that is the part nobody enjoys. The early stage of any goal is free, since it costs only enthusiasm. Later it starts taking Friday nights, spare money and things you would rather be doing. Being at peace with the price is different from not feeling it.
Name what this goal is actually costing you, in specific hours and specific things. Decide whether the trade is still one you would make, and be honest if it is not. Keep enough of the fun that the version of you paying the price still wants to be around.
Which fun thing have you given up and not regretted?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
