Share the credit freely. It doesn’t shrink when you split it, but your team grows.

Credit behaves differently from most things you can hold onto. Naming the person who did the unseen part takes nothing off your share, because what the room learns is that you are accurate about who did what. That makes people want to work with you, which is worth far more than being the only name said once. Hoarding it does the reverse and is extremely visible.

In the next thing you finish together, say one specific name and one specific contribution out loud. Do it in front of whoever matters rather than privately afterward. Say it even when nobody asked.
