When you make it through a hard path, leave the lights on for the next kid walking it.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Difficulty is usually made worse by not knowing what is normal, which step everyone struggles at, or whether the thing is survivable at all. Anyone who has already crossed holds that information and can hand it over cheaply. Keeping quiet about how you did it makes the road harder for no reason.

Write down the two or three things you wish someone had told you at the start, and give them to whoever is currently where you were. Be specific about the parts that nearly stopped you. A short honest account is worth more than encouragement.
