If people are watching you, you’re already preaching. Make sure it’s worth hearing.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Influence is not something you opt into. Younger siblings, teammates and the people who sit near you are learning what normal looks like from you, whether or not you have said a word about what you believe. What you do when you lose, how you talk about people who are not in the room, what you laugh at: that is the message.

Pick one habit that the people around you can see and make it worth copying this week. How you treat the person nobody defends is a good place to start. Say less about what you believe and let someone watch you be consistent for a month.
