Your hands can shake and your voice can crack, and you can still finish the speech.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Nerves are not a verdict on whether you should be doing something. The body reacts to exposure whether or not you prepared, and it does not distinguish between real danger and a room of people looking at you. Shaking is not the failure. Stopping because of the shaking is the only part that changes the outcome.
Plan for the physical side rather than hoping it stays away. Decide in advance that a cracked voice simply means you continue to the next sentence. Most audiences forget the tremble entirely and remember only that you reached the end.
