Training in summer heat teaches a quiet lesson: rest, water and shade are part of the plan, not a lack of grit.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

In real heat the limiting factor stops being willpower and becomes physiology. You can want it as much as you like and still have a body that needs cooling and fluid in order to keep working. Experienced people build those in deliberately, not as concessions but as equipment, the same way they plan the sets. Treating them as weakness is just a slower route to ending the session early.

Schedule the breaks into the next hard session before you start, rather than taking them once you are in trouble. Water at fixed points, shade between sets. Notice how much more work gets done when recovery is planned instead of improvised.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What do you call weakness that is really basic maintenance?
