Tell your friends when you’ve changed your mind about something. It gives them permission to grow too.

Groups quietly file everyone under a fixed position and then keep them there. Once you say out loud that you think something different now, the file stops working for everybody, not just you. Someone else in that group has been sitting on a change they have not announced. Your going first lowers the cost of theirs.

Pick one thing you genuinely see differently than you did a year ago and say it plainly to a friend this week. No speech, no apology for the old version. Then leave room for whatever they say back.
