When a native speaker corrects your grammar, that’s not rudeness. That’s a free lesson from a pro.

Correcting somebody costs a small social price, and most people would rather nod along than pay it. When someone fixes your grammar, they have decided you are worth the slight awkwardness, which is closer to respect than to rudeness. They are also handing over something you cannot easily get from an app: the version people actually say.
Say thanks, then write the correction down somewhere you will see it. Use it on purpose the same day, in a real sentence, out loud. Repeated once at the time, a fix usually sticks.
When did you treat a correction as an insult instead?
