Senior in high school, freshman in college. Being at the bottom again is a sign you climbed somewhere new.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Status resets are the entry fee for a bigger room. You spend a year at the top of one place, and then the only way into a larger one is to be the newest, least-informed person there again, which feels like going backwards and is the opposite. The discomfort is a receipt.

So treat the first year as learning rather than as proving. Ask the obvious questions early while being new is still an explanation. Find two people a year ahead and copy what they do, and save the senior-year confidence until it is earned here.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Where are you starting at the bottom again on purpose?
