The section leader in choir often isn’t the strongest voice. It’s the most reliable one.

Groups hand responsibility to whoever can be counted on, not to whoever is most impressive. Talent is visible for a minute, but reliability is what lets other people plan around you. Showing up, knowing the part, having the music, arriving early: none of it is glamorous, and all of it is rare. That is exactly why it gets noticed.

Choose one small thing you are already supposed to do and do it without fail for two weeks. Be on time, bring what you said you would bring, answer the message. People keep count quietly.
