A clear plan tells people what not to do.

LEADERSHIP
Most plans list intentions and leave the exclusions unspoken, which means everyone quietly keeps doing everything they were already doing. A plan that says what you will not pursue is far more useful, because it settles the tradeoffs in advance rather than in the middle of a difficult week. Saying no is where the actual choosing happens.
Add a short section to your next plan naming what you are deliberately not doing. Say it to the people involved. That list will do more for your focus than the list of goals.
