Sometimes belonging means knowing exactly where you would go when everything else feels uncertain.

GRATITUDE
One of the plainest tests of belonging is whether you have somewhere to go when things fall apart. Not a fantasy of rescue, just a real door and a person who would open it. Knowing that address changes how much uncertainty you can tolerate everywhere else.
If you can name that place, say so to whoever provides it; people rarely know they are that for someone. If you cannot name one, treat it as something worth building slowly, because it is more valuable than most of what we spend our effort on.
Where would you go tonight if everything fell apart?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
