Long-distance friendships run on small fuel: a voice note, a meme, a “saw this and thought of you.”

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Distance does not need big effort, it needs frequent small signals. A long catch-up call is hard to schedule and easy to postpone forever, while a sent link or a thirty-second voice note takes no planning and does the actual job, which is proving the other person still occupies space in your head. Volume matters more than depth here, and nothing has to be said properly.

Send three small things this week to people who are far away, with no expectation of a reply. Forward whatever made you think of them. Keep the bar low enough that you can do it again next week.
