A completed season leaves room to decide what you want to carry forward.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Endings create a gap that gets filled fast unless you notice it. A finished season, project or year is one of the few moments when continuing is genuinely optional, and habits that survive it usually survive by default rather than by choice. The pause is short. Once the next thing starts, everything you were doing before comes along uninspected.

Before you begin the next round of anything, list what you were carrying and mark the parts you would choose again. Leave one thing behind on purpose. Starting lighter is easier than putting something down halfway through.
